// Images by Hollywood's Great Glamour Photographer Bruno Bernard
2012 is the 50th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe's death, and this lavishly illustrated volume celebrates her enduring beauty through photographs by legendary Hollywood photographer Bruno Bernard. Bernard's iconic photograph of Marilyn standing over the subway grate in a billowing white dress is synonymous with Hollywood glamour and sex appeal. Many of the images here have never been published before. They cover critical moments in Marilyn's life, including her first professional sitting in 1946, all enlivened by fascinating excerpts from Bruno's journal. Fans of the blonde bombshell will also treasure the stunning, frameable print included with this keepsake book. Jane Russell (Marilyn's co-star in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes) and Lindsay Lohan have contributed forewords.
Book Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket: None. The boards display photographs of Marilyn with a red-clothed spine. The boards are rubbed with a few marks on the cloth. The spine is sunned, and the title is worn. The publisher's stamp is smugged on the title page, but otherwise, the pages are cleaned and unmarked. There is foxing on the translucent envelope at the rear of the book. However, the photographic image is in very good condition.
