About

In crafting this zine, I found inspiration in the word "Gutsy." It's more than just a clever play on words; it reflects the inner strength required to confront Crohn's daily struggles. While the outward signs may not always be visible externally, it's a relentless battleground internally where my body fights against itself.

Through vivid storytelling, I plan to take you with me on this journey through my experiences of highs and lows, the triumphs and setbacks, as I explore the depths of resilience and the power of vulnerability.

This zine is not just my story--it's an instrument to amplify countless individuals silently fighting their untold battles. I hope this zine brings light to the tales behind the label of invisible disease.

What material did I use?

Premium hemp paper comprised 25% hemp and 75% post-consumer pulp. No dyes or bleaches are used, and the paper's natural color is complemented by tiny flecks representing the hemp fibers, giving the paper an organic look. The paper is chlorine-free, acid-free, and archival quality.

Binding: 5-hole pamphlet stitch
Colors: Premium ink (8-color dye-based, including two monochrome)
